The KGL-60T tilt kettle is the best, most efficient kettle built today using forced air to create high heat while using less gas. The internal high efficiency burner has no open flame. All of the heat generated stays in the kettle and is used to heat the jacket water.
This high performance kettle would be a perfect choice for any large restaurant, institutional kitchen or a large catering operation. Steam jacketed kettles are non-scorching and are perfect for Soup Du Jour, stock, re-fried beans, salsa, bagels, Mac N Cheese, craft beer, fudge, Artisan candies, BBQ sauce etc. The Cleveland Range 60 gallon tilt kettle is designed for high production while not taking up so much valuable space under the hood.
What we know…
This beautiful kettle has not been reconditioned. It looks and operates like it does because it was never used. The kettle comes from a Career Center in a culinary class. The kettle spent almost all of its life covered in plastic and was set up for demonstration every 3 to 6 months. While I can’t call this kettle new, I surely can’t call it used either. I have left the school ID stickers on the kettle and you will know where it came from when you receive it.
Please take a minute to enlarge the pictures to get a close up view of this beautiful kettle. The all stainless construction is flawless and has the look of chrome. The inside bowl of the kettle is perfect and still has that sort of grain in the stainless that you only find with buying new. The manual tilt control tips the kettle without effort. The burner is enclosed and uses 190,000 btus. The kettle heats up quick and the thermostat works perfectly. The controls are simple and problem free. As you can see the jacket water is almost invisible and crystal clear. The jacket holds a negative 25 when cool.
It comes with a few items that you don’t normally find with a kettle to make using it a bit easier more productive.
It comes with a draw valve strainer but it also comes with a fairly rare Cleveland rim strainer. Rare because only a school system will pay over $1,300.00 for one. It also comes with a Cleveland gallonage measuring stick shown in the pictures. That is extremely handy when setting up the kettle. It hangs on the inside of the kettle and is marked for every 5 gallons of product.
The extra large commercial whisk as shown and may look like a simple prop for pictures but I ship one with every kettle I sell. Too often operators use a big stainless steel spatula for stirring and those are really hard on a kettle. This whisk will never scratch or ding your vessel.
Overall footprint – 50″w x 47″d – Requires 1, 110 volt connection. Currently the kettle is set up for natural gas however it can be converted to propane and we will do that for you at no charge. Just allow a few days for us to receive the conversion orifice.
