This listing is for a Cleveland 40 gallon gas steam jacketed tilting kettle model KGL-40-TSH.

All Cleveland equipment is designed and built to be used by the professional Chef in high demand environments all day – every day. The KGL-40TSH tilt kettle is the best, most efficient kettle built today using forced air to create high heat while using less gas. The internal high efficiency burner has no open flame. All of the heat generated stays in the kettle and is used to heat the jacket water.
There are many reasons why the Cleveland KGL-40TSH is the best and most expensive 40 gallon kettle they offer. It is not just designed for the “height challenged” folks. Think of it this way. Cleveland took a 60 gallon and flattened it a bit.
The SH series is larger in circumference and is the same inside diameter of the 60 gallon in fact, the lid of a 60 gallon will fit this perfectly. The steam jacket is much larger which makes the cooking surface much larger and because of that, Cleveland steps up the burner from 140,000 normally used in the 40 gallon to 190,000 BTUs – same as the 60 gallon. The result is a more even, more consistent cook doing away with cold spots. It is also a much faster, higher producing kettle saving you wait times and because the heat is more efficient – it uses less gas. The SH is also a bit shorter with a rim height of only 38 inches. It is easier to stir, easier to clean and safer to use.
What we know…
Please take a minute to enlarge the pictures to get a close-up view of this beautiful kettle. There has been no re-conditioning. This is how we received it and it looks new simply because it was never really used. The all stainless construction is flawless and has the look of chrome. The inside of the vessel or bowl of the kettle is perfect and still has that sort of grain in the stainless that you only find with buying new. The always dependable manual tilt control tips the kettle without effort. The kettle heats up quick and the thermostat works perfectly. The controls are simple and problem free. As you can see the jacket water is almost invisible and crystal clear. The jacket holds a negative 20 when cool.
The extra large commercial whisk may look like a simple prop for pictures but I ship one with every kettle I sell. Too often operators use a big stainless steel spatula for stirring and those are really hard on a kettle. This whisk will never scratch or ding your vessel.
Overall footprint – 49″w x 46″d – Requires 1, 110 volt connection. Currently the kettle is set up for natural gas however if you need it to be set up for propane we will convert it for you at no charge. Please allow a few days for the parts to be received.
