If you have been in the restaurant business for more than 10 minutes you already know about the reputation of Hobart mixers. Chances are that if you are running the family business, your father most likely started out with a Hobart mixer 50 years ago and it still runs and sounds like it did when you were a kid. Hobart is built to last and this beautiful HCM is no exception.
This is the new style with the squared-off base and the push buttons instead of the old style paddle switches.
What we know…
This HCM was bought by a small school system along with 3 others. It was used very little as most of what the school serves in their lunch programs is pre-made off site and all the schools now do it warm it up. The HCM was pretty much there as a stand-by or “just in case” sort of thing and never really got used.
Please take a minute and enlarge the pictures. I’d like you to compare this processor to any of the others either on-line or at your local dealer. It looks new simply because it wasn’t really used. It comes with the knife attachment and wiper. Using a 5 Hp motor, there isn’t anything this mixer can’t mix or chop. The mixer starts without hesitation and runs extremely quiet. The brake system stops the blades swiftly and quietly when the mixer is shut off. Like all of the HCMs it comes with a 6 minute timer and a jog setting. Both blades are nick-free and razor sharp.
