Description

OK – Let’s talk about your next kettle…

Groen products are proudly built by American’s in Jackson, Mississippi and are sold all over the world. Their products have earned their reputation for ease of operation, high performance and long lasting reliability. If you have been associated with the commercial food service industry for more than 10 minutes you already know that when it comes to steam jacketed kettles and tilt skillets – Groen builds the best. The 40 gallon is designed to keep up with the demands of any large kitchen while not taking up (or heating up) valuable floor space.

This high performance kettle would be a perfect choice for any high demand restaurant, institutional kitchen or a large catering operation. Steam jacketed kettles are non-scorching and are perfect for Soup Du Jour, broth, re-fried beans, salsa, Mac N Cheese, craft beer, jams and jellies, fudge, Artisan candies, BBQ sauce, pickle production etc. the possibilities are endless.

What we know…

This beautiful kettle was built in 2016 and left Groen in 2017. It was in 2017 that Groen went to the newer style kettle with the internal circuit boards and a little lighter weight build design. My opinion is that this is one of the last Groen kettles that was built to last forever much like the Hobart mixers. The digital stuff just isn’t the same.

Like everything we sell, this beautiful kettle came from a government agency. It was used very little and is in excellent condition. Please take a minute to enlarge the pictures to get a close up view. It operates as you would expect a new kettle to work. The all stainless construction is flawless and has the look of chrome. The jacket water is crystal clear and as you can see, the gauge holds a solid -30 when not in use. The kettle lights fast and tilts smooth, safely and effortless.

Check out the close-up picture of the most important part of any gas fired equipment – the burner. This has to be in good, clean, rust-free condition not only for the longevity of the equipment but for safety reasons as well. In this case the burner and jets are in new condition and the burner plate looks like a mirror. Before you spend a lot of money on a kettle, no matter who you buy it from, demand two things. Get a good clear picture of the burner and get at least some sort of warranty in writing. Both will go a  long way in telling you the condition of the equipment you are considering and shut down any sort of seller BS.
